To Know the Sky

I begin with a much owed ode to fall for its rich earth tones inspiring my wardrobes color palette. This season, one cannot go wrong with the combination of fall colors, especially browns, mustard, navy, and forrest. This vintage suede fringe forrest jacket provides a surprising burst of color and compliments these opaque mustard tights. The faded paisley print on this navy and white skirt is girly and fresh. And as always I add the finishing touches of gold jewelry to my fall ensembles.

Speak Louder Than Words

As falls chilly winds begin to dictate one's fashion forecast, let the layering begin! Here I've paired a long sleeved white chiffon blouse with a vintage navy and white polka-dot vintage sweater vest. I'm especially in love with the gold buttons on the vests shoulder, adding sailor flare to the outfit. I've mixed in this black and white tight gingham print mini-skirt for a subtle dose of print mixing. My gold hoops and antique gold leaf necklace adding undeniable elegance to the ensemble, making for the perfect finishing touches.

Patterns & Equations

Powerful patterns speak louder than words for this vintage ensemble. This navy and white geometric patterned dress is Banana Republic and salvaged at St. Vincent DePaul. It's totally mod and contrasts elegantly with this silk paisley green and blue scarf. My red over-the-knee socks were inspired by the hints of maroon in the silk scarf. Most importantly it wouldn't be fall without my corduroy chocolate brown jacket and Tommy Hilfiger clogs bringing rich earth tones to the scene.

Past to Present

As trends transition from summer to early fall, the combination of bright colors remains a vital part of one's style agenda. Here I'm wearing red poodle socks with a knee length suede purple skirt, oh boy is the reinvention of the knee length skirt is back in vogue! This exciting color palette is contrasted by my classic denim jacket (that I could never survive without) and this army inspired camo green vest. The leopard print tank underneath is just subtle enough to prompt a few meow's as I strut around campus in these Aldo black leather ankle boots.

Prep School Dropout

Menswear on women never speaks in whispers, but in loud seductive roars! This vintage navy blazer and Brooks Brothers peach silk blouse make the perfect preppy duo along with this Tommy Hilfiger paisley skirt, following this falls trending conservative collars and influences of menswear. Don't forget the burst of bright orange on my fingernails, thanks to OPI's new Halloween collection "He's my boo" is sure to make you take another look.

Tickle Me Vintage

This tribal print MaxMara shirt was a steal found at the St. Vincent DePaul thrift store and the zip-up white leather skirt worn here is from the Goodwill. I scored this awesome hot pink blazer this weekend at a Rummage sale for three bucks. If there's ever an exception to the no shoulder pad rule in fashion it's for killer blazers like this one.

Hit the Streets

This look is all about street style influence and edgy appeal. The leather jacket was a present to me from Berlin, leather jackets are a classic of course but this one is really unique with it's furry edges. I paired it with this eggshell colored striped tunic from Goodwill, red tights, and my Dr. Martens.

Pastel Palette

My checkerboard pastel blouse worn here is from the lovely Seven Hills Thrift Store and this purple skirt is from the Salvation Army. Although found during completely different seasons I am very fond of this blouse-skirt combo. The navy maxi length cashmere sweater is from the vintage aisles at the Goodwill in San Francisco. My earrings have to be my favorite part of this outfit, their tiny navy and ivory cameos.

Primary Apparel

I'm in love with this sweater vest I bought last week at Casablanca Vintage in Northside. The store is great and filled with racks upon racks of amazing vintage finds, it was hard enough to narrow it down to a reasonable amount of items to buy! The red cords and denim shirt are both two of my favorite materials to help set the look off.

Falling in Vintage

Finally a day chilly enough to debut my fur vest. I bought it while visiting Brooklyn last winter in a thrift store in Williamsburg, sorry Hipsters I beat you to this vintage piece of Grizzly apparel. The blouse is from the Seven Hills thrift store and may in fact be one of the most antique pieces in my closet. The three tiered necklace I salvaged out of my Mother's old jewelry.

Natürlich.

The revival of the 1920's this fall is big, and this mid-calf length black and red popcorn patterned white skirt is my way of welcoming the trend. Paired with a chiffon black blouse the look says sophisticated and confident. The silver and gold medallion belt I found at a yard sale and have been incredibly fond of ever since.
