Drippin' with Alchemy

Fall is the time to experiment with reptile prints, this python print chiffon blouse is from the infamous Seven Hills Thrift Store and I've paired it with my favorite beaded gold belt from Atomic Number Ten. My gold cross necklace and gold hoops say sassy with a capital 'S' along my leather diamond stitched side purse with gold detailing--vintage leather bought at Goodwill for three bucks, that's my kind of deal.

Not your average waitress

When I first saw this brown and white pinstripe dress in a thrift store in San Francisco I instantly fell in love. It has all the elements of a 1970's waitresses uniform which makes it really fun to style. The clogs worn here are Tommy Hilfiger and found at the Salvation Army. In fact, this entire outfit is compromised of pieces from all different thrift stores. As summer transitions into fall it is definitely acceptable to start pairing sheer socks with wedges or boots, these red poodle socks add an unexpected pop of color to this ensemble.

Style Detour

This summer has been all about the revival of bold prints, textures, and colors. And this shirt/short combo says it all! The hot pink lattice like shirt I bought at the Salvation army and the shorts are from the Gap. I'm especially fond of these shades because I bought them earlier this summer at a killer Goodwill in get this--the vintage section in the Mission District of San Francisco.

Free People & Fringe

I must admit I am all about western wear, this leather vest I found in the throw-away pile at Snooty Fox. Yes, indeed I saved my favorite leather vest from it's own funeral! The skinny leopard print belt is another one of my favorite leather pieces, found at Goodwill. As you can see, abandoned buildings seems to be a popular setting for my fashion posts, which goes along with my idea that anything can be reinvented into something new and oh so useful.

Dr. of Love

My red and white Dalila Dr. Marten's inspired me to create this ensemble of maxi, lace, and denim. The Levi jean vest is a classic go-to piece which I salvaged from St. Vincent DePaul and both my lace top and maxi black skirt are finds from the Seven Hills Thrift store. I cannot resist bits and pieces of costume jewelry to enhance a look and this black bead necklace provides contrast between two styles-- girly and street chic.

Todays Fashion Forecast: Seventies and shady.

I am forever inspired by the seventies era. These bubble gum pink shades are courtesy of my mother, worn when she was a teeny-bopper. The silk powder yellow and white polka-dot blouse is the newest addition to my collection of vintage, bought yesterday from the Seven Hills Thrift store, which if you ask me happens to be one of the best hidden gems in the city for vintage pieces. Dabbling in print mixing, I added a J-Crew black floral print leather belt to this button up skirt.
